I’m located in SLC, UT.

I have a residential property I’m considering subdividing into 3 units. I’m in the process of researching the regulations and rules required to make this happen. Is anyone familiar with the process/costs of residential to multi-family zoning?

Thank you!!

@Andy Turnauer

They are not held under the LLC, they are under my name currently

Dear Fellow House Hackers,

I bought my house in October 2019 and I am still paying towards Property Mortgage Insurance. With the equity gained in the home what are my options for kicking this to the curb?

I've read some people may request a PMI cancellation and others refinance into a loan that doesn't require mortgage insurance?

Also, seeking referrals for a great accountant in SLC, UT🤚

Thanks for your thoughts!!

I'm filing for an LLC which will serve as a Property Management entity providing a layer of anonymity for myself, asset protection- separating all current running and projected business transactions, forthwith.

With this election, I have a few questions like: What is the best way to pay myself through distributions or self-pay? How would the LLC pay the Mortgage? (Quick claim the deed to the LLC?) Election on S CORP?

Has anyone else had any experience with this? Tell me your ideas.. GO!!

I have a house that I rent by rooms individually. A tenants boyfriend has progressively started staying longer and longer and now he’s here all the time. He is not on the lease and does not pay rent. How do you handle this? My utilities are going up and with others living here parking isn’t unlimited either. What experience have you had? The room is rented to my tenant at $600 if the boyfriend stays do I have him pay an additional fee if so-with your experience about how much?

Thank you in advance!
