@JM Payne if nothing works in my favor, that’s ultimately what I would do. Thanks for the encouragement- I just decided that 18-22 isn’t the only age to go to college. I can always finish my degree if I fall flat on my face. I’ll take that L and learn from it.

@Ned J. I agree that most people just don’t want to work and that’s why they dropped out. Saying this was the easy road wouldn’t be true- for me the easy thing to do would be to stay in school.

You’re absolutely right that most people fail, and the reality is that if you’re the kind of person who doesn’t overcome obstacles, you probably won’t get far in whatever endeavor you take on. So I agree with you there!

@Matt P. Kids like money. I don’t want anything to do with my dad’s career, but he provided for my siblings and I and I respect him for that.

@Jake Berwind I appreciate you. The network is important at college, and that’s something I didn’t want to miss out on. I live in the same town as my college so I’m still able to see my friends and go to events with them, so I didn’t burn any bridges there.

@Victor S. I’m in a sales position and I do pretty well for myself. Worst case, even though most people don’t like sales, that’s a marketable skill and I can use that as my safety net.

@Nick C.

You’re right and I agree that there are connections to be made in college, but I’ve noticed that the majority of people are simply there because either mommy and daddy are paying for their 4 year party, or they just don’t know what they want to do in life. If you’re good at networking in college, its not because of college, it’s just because you’re good at networking. I went to 3 semesters and I have 2-3 close friends that I could see myself doing business with in the future, but I feel that I could meet more like minded people in a local BP meeting than in Calculus or History class..
