thank you  Clark  you have given me much to consider! 

I have an LLC that we placed our retirement money in and also have gotten a heloc on the house we own. we built a townhouse that we are renting out. we live in the quakertown area in PA. we have been studying for about a year now what may be our best options to go with since we are in our 60"s. we are seriously considering notes.. we have $300,000 to invest with and would like guidance from someone who knows our area and is willing to lead us in the right direction.

Welcome Quincy. I'm a newbie as well. @Gary Crawford post was inspiring to me as well. I'm new to investing but not in life. I'm close to retirement age but investing has me excited and ready to learn. Good luck with your investments!

I was getting close to retirement with only modest savings and I listened to Rich Dad Poor Dad. Every part of my body shook for joy. There—was a better way to live life. 

I'm just at the beginning of my investment career. I believe it's never to late to DO something. I purchased my first investment property, so I feel great!!

AND who hasn't been inspired by that book.

I have a short sale opportunity. We have a HELOC in place from a bank but the same bank is not helping us with the mortgage because it's a short sale. This is holding us back from placing a bid. Need help asap!

@Bernard Reisz set up my 401k checkbook. I know to purchase the house and all expenses with my 401k checkbook and use business name LLC.

I'm not sure how to collect the rent. Does the renter send me a check in my business name?

I then deposit it back into my 401k checkbook account?

In the process of purchasing a house and settlement is 2/26.
