Looking for multifamily in the NKY area that I can house hack. I have at least 3.5 percent down for up to 180k. However everyone I'm talking to in my area is telling me it's a bad time to start investing including my agent. It's kind of discouraging. And from what I can tell there isn't much in my area that fits my needs. Any advice would be appreciated. Moving really isn't an option right now.

Meeting with a broker in the next few days. Any advice, what do I need to bring to the table?

@Nick Robinson

Northern Ky at the moment, mostly due to wanting stay near work. But I hope to invest in the Cincinnati, Lexington or Louisville areas at some point.

@Jonathan Barr

Thank you, your advice is very much appreciated. I've had my eye on a couple quadplexes in my area but have been worried as to whether or not I would be able to handle managing them and still manage to focus on my career, as I currently play two roles where I work.

I'm looking to purchase a multi family as a long term investment and house hack for roughly 2 to 5 years before I decide to invest in more multfamilies. I was wondering would it be wise to hire a property management company to handle managing the property? I work 40+ hours a week second shift of which I hope to eventually get out of within that 5 years.
