You don't even have to read it. The title says it all.  Mayor clamoring for votes from people that hate paying rent.

Who's his opponent? I'll send a check right now.

Hilarious. Clearly didn’t read my comment at all.

The comments can be very insightful. Easy enough to scoff at something like this, but if you want real market feedback from the most disgruntled people in your market, read them carefully.

Quote from @Michael Panik:

Certainly depends on which part. There's a very nice, B+ side and an industrial park/low rent C-/D side. Very much depends on the area of Homewood. East of Greensprings Highway and south of Valley Ave is nice, especially as you approach Edgewood and SoHo. West of Greensprings, north of Oxmoor is very hit or miss. Would be happy to provide insight on specific properties.

Thanks for the tips!

How about around the Waldrop stadium?

- John

Yep, that's a nice neighborhood! Lots of flips, and very walkable, good home values. The closer to Pizzeria GM, The Briary, and Seeds Coffee, the better.

Just saw Mayor Woodfin's announcement that rental assistance has been re-funded and extended. To the more seasoned in this market: is there any advantage or disadvantage to a program like this? Does it help stabilize the volatility of the cheaper areas and make them "safer" investments?
