Homewood, Alabama. What’s this area like??

Anyone have knowledge of the Homewood neighborhood in Birmingham, Alabama? Maybe what type of neighborhood this is?

Certainly depends on which part. There's a very nice, B+ side and an industrial park/low rent C-/D side. Very much depends on the area of Homewood. East of Greensprings Highway and south of Valley Ave is nice, especially as you approach Edgewood and SoHo. West of Greensprings, north of Oxmoor is very hit or miss. Would be happy to provide insight on specific properties.

    One of the best submarkets of Birmingham, B+ and better area for the most part

     Yep, that's a nice neighborhood! Lots of flips, and very walkable, good home values. The closer to Pizzeria GM, The Briary, and Seeds Coffee, the better.

    There are areas of Homewood that are A neighborhoods...1mm homes and above. And like the others have mentioned, areas that are C/D. The nicest parts of Homewood (Hollywood/Edgewood) are considered on par with Mtn. Brook and Vestavia.
