Hi Dana,

I guess I would like to know peoples opinion on the town. If they invest there, how's the schools, crime, outlook, etc. I've done some research on it and driven through parts of town but I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

Hello everyone!

My name is Mike. I'm a life long resident of CT and I'm looking to start investing here as well. I figured out that I want to house hack first, with either a duplex or a triplex in the Hartford county area. I work as a vendor during the day which requires me to travel around a good of the state. Recently, I have been listening to the podcasts as I commute and they've been quite informative so far!

My goal, like a lot of people on here, is to have financial freedom and not have to work a typical 9-5 job. I would like to get my first rental property by the end of this year, then as time goes on and with more money saved up I hope to continue investing in more rental properties.

Hi all,

I'm currently looking at a duplex to live in over in Winsted. Price seems good. Does anyone have any experience investing or living in that area? There seems to be a lot of single and multi famiy houses for sale. I know it's sort of isolated but was wondering if anybody has any input on the area.
