Yes your landlord may ask you to remove it. As this is a common area, your landlord needs to take other tenants into consideration. If other tenants strongly object to it, you may be asked to remove it.

You don’t have repair every thing that your tenant ask you to unless it’s about security problem. I totally understand the feeling when being asked to repair appliances with little problem. But don’t be so tolerant or you will face more and more similar issues.

Don't lose your temper while texting and put your emotions down while having an argument. They make things worse. Resolve issues by negotiation. But if you want to end the lease, stay calm.

@Ryan Frampton If your property can stimulate lots of people's interest, I think the most reasonable reason is that your price is higher than the average price in the market, or they think your property doesn't worth the price. Try to reduce the price in a suitable range and see whether it works.

@Ronald Starusnak Tell your tenant either pay the rent on time or you will start the eviction process. There is no tolerance for late payment for such a long time.

I was stuck in the same situation like yours. I spent a lot of energy, especially time to deal with it. That's why I am so serious about choosing tenants right now. I know how hard it is to deal with these tenants.

@Riley Holt We need to take into consideration of your neighboring environment and the value of your asset. Whether it is valuable to repaint?
