We are in the process of making an offer on a house built in 1959, 2300 sq. ft that needs rehab in Dallas. The inspection report noted the electrical panel in the master closet and aluminum wiring. Does anyone in the Dallas area know if I need to replace and move the panel and re-wire to replace the aluminum? I am also looking for a rough estimate of what this would cost.

We are in the middle of our first flip in the Dallas area. My contractor quoted me $2.00 per sq. ft. for interior. This includes: walls, trim, and ceilings. Just 2 colors.  I supply the paint. Is this a good price?

@ Sha Maximillian,

What type of contractors are you looking for? General or trade specific? I can probably give you a couple recommendations now that we have a bit more experience.

Hi BP,

We have closed on our first flip. We are really excited and jumping in with both feet.  I will be managing the day to day renovations. I have only been living in dallas for year and a half so I am still building my team and networking as much as possible. I am particularly needing help with referrals for a good concrete and masonry crew. Your suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Michael Kaufman

I am a new member to Bigger Pockets. I really appreciate this site and the wealth of information I already found. I am new to real estate investing. We have our first purchase under contract. This will be a flip but it needs a lot of work. I  have experience in  residential construction contracting, but I am new to the dallas area. I am looking for recommendations for some quality sub-contractors. Masonry, Foundation repair, tile, drywall and paint, window replacement. Looking forward to meeting fellow BP members I can learn from.
