Hello Nneka-

I was off BP for a while. Would be great to get your contact in JAX.

Thanks.

Hello everyone, new to this in Melville, NY (Long Island). I am interested in making contacts in the Jacksonville, FL area. Specifically, broker/agents, property management, mortgage/finance resources and other investors who are familiar with the area. Need to build a local team, get email alerts and access to off market properties so I may start analyzing deals. I am primarily interested in multi-family 2-4 units. Location TBD. Is the University a good area? Shore? Need help and advice to begin my business. Once I have some people in place I will take a trip to meet in person and tour the areas of interest. Look forward to hearing from helpful folks who can guide me with honesty and integrity with the hope that we can all make money in the future together. Thanks.

Thank you for the comments all, much appreciated.

Ron, your insights are very helpful.

Would love to discuss the market in Binghamton. My daughter is a freshman and I want to see if it makes sense to purchase a multi-family unit close to the school for her and pick up some rental money as well.

Justin-

Thanks for the response and the direction.

Very, very newbie here from Melville, Long Island, NY. Have been interested in real estate income for many years, was just too comfortable in my "jobs." Now in my early 50's (I know I should have started sooner) looking to take this seriously and see where it goes. My father invested 30-40 years ago in a partnership and earns 30-50k per year from 1-2 apartment buildings, completely passive. Sounds interesting to me. Looking to meet others at any stage in their real estate career who do rental properties to better learn the perils of start up through mature business. Area of investment likely not NY at least not Long Island.
