Just trying to get a staring point on how to evaluate a property and a good deal from the MLS before potentially seeing it in person. I came across the DealCheck app and thought why not at least explore it. It got got a good rating (4.6), not that it is always a good indicator. Has anyone used this? I feel like it's more useful for the outline and then I can fill in the numbers and analyze myself rather than use that exclusively. Thoughts?
Hello members of BP, I'm just starting out and listening to as many of the podcasts as I can. I really wanna understand everything before I make any moves. I have some reasonable capital and would love to invest in rental properties. Is there any advice to doing research on what constitutes a 'good deal'? Is it simply all. About the numbers? The area? Trying to figure out what a good area would be to invest and how to research areas based on population growth/jobs/etc.
Hey all, My name is Mike and I am a complete novice when it comes to this. Me and my girlfriend are from the NJ/NY area and want to learn as much as we can about real estate investment and use that to be able to buy several buy and hold properties. Definitely need some. More background and helpful tips. Heard this was the best means to get information and support from the real estate investment community and just wanted to say hello! I'm going to be as active as I can on here and try to learn the basics step by step, and hopefully many of you will be able to answer my questions through this whole process! Thanks!
