Aw, thank you Mr. Woodruff for your support. Anyhow, to answer your question, I am leaning towards short term vacation rentals in various parts of the US. That being said, I think this decision is being steered by not having a great amount of time to tend to building repairs and tenants. I am working full time seeing patients in a dermatology practice along with doing the mom thing which is crazy with sports and homework etc. So I am not opposed to long term rentals either - just a little concerned I won't be able to give the attention needed to a long term rental. I live in South Florida and I am just saving as of right now while I learn. I have about 20K at the moment saved up. My husband and I have been reading/listening to Robert T. Kiyosaki's stuff along with Bigger Pockets podcasts and articles. We have a friend in the area who is mentoring us also. We are just very eager to get this first purchase under our belt as we have been hearing what the podcasts have said about the market and really not slowing much. Thoughts?

Good morning everyone! My husband and I are so excited to begin our journey to financial freedom we can hardly contain ourselves but we are a little scared too. We both are in the medical field so this is definitely a learning adventure for us both. We could use all the advice we can get, especially with obtaining a smart first investment property. We have been trying to learn everything we can but we certainly don't want to make uneducated and poor investment choices.
