James, reach out to me. I had a similar experience and I when I called them on it, they instituted a “mortgage guarantee”, meaning after like 3-4 months, they reimbursed me my “mortgage” payment. If they hadn’t, our portfolio would have been negative for 2019. I’m looking for a new TK provider.

They also have podcast interviews with individuals who purchased via TK, they discussed what worked well and what didn't. I've found the podcasts really educational. Much success!!

Hi Katherine, Welcome to the BP community. We currently have some local investment property but are looking to educate ourselves and expand our portfolio with OOS property. There is a SF Summit this weekend held by J. Martin you may want to attend. Saturday they have a lot of sessions on OOS investing. There are also some local meet-ups you should check out! Metra

Matt, If you're in the Bay Area now, may I suggest you attend the 2-day SF Summit that is happening this weekend in Oakland. You could network, learning about the various RE business models, etc. @J Martin can provide you more details. Metra

No, I haven't heard of the Santa Cruz meetup.  I've wanted to attend the one in Los Gatos, it's geared towards OOS investments which is going to be my focus. I'll definatly check out the one @Jeff Pollack runs in SJ since that is close to where I live.
