I am a hard money lender in Dallas, and my wife is from Amarillo. Great market to buy rentals! You can buy houses at a deep discount but I am not sure if appreciation would be earth shattering. I told my wife we should buy rentals there.

I agree with Bruce, you may want to look at some places further away from Dallas.

I have worked in the real estate investment industry for the past 7 years. I currently work for a big fix and flip company as an in-house lender. I have originated over 1200 loans in the past 4 years, as a manager for this company. I am currently looking for a bigger challenge! I would like to create my own hard money lending company, or enter into an already established partnership where they are focused on the customer and where growth in lending is put as a top priority. I have a very big pipeline of established investors that I will continue to work with to secure financing. I am currently seeking opportunity to become a broker/correspondent with a few lenders out there, while ensuring that I find the right fit and common goals. Any suggestions, comments, ideas, or introductions would be greatly appreciated!
