Thank you all for this amazing welcome and advice so far! We are looking to do long-term rentals for a buy-and-hold strategy, starting to build up our portfolio and gain momentum. 

That said, we have traveled a lot and stayed in wonderful Airbnbs over the years and have always dreamed of creating an incredible experience for someone visiting Minnesota with a short-term rental as well, so we are definitely open to that idea and have some great experience as to what we know would provide an exceptional short-term rental experience. 

Our limited resources though will (probably?!) be best spent at this time with the long-term strategy in mind :)

I'm looking to start my journey of investing in Duluth, MN. My husband's family is from there and we go visit them often from our home in the suburbs of Minneapolis. 

Is there anyone in the Duluth investing community I should connect with? Hows the market up there these days? :) Would love to make some connections/friends here! 

Hello everyone - so nice to join this vibrant community of smart people. We're just starting out but we have some skillsets that will hopefully serve us well in this journey! As an entrepreneur I'm always looking for missing/hidden value and have a great eye for design. My partner is an electrician who has an engineering mind. Together, we're hoping to BRRRR ourselves into some fun projects and set our little family up (we have a 3 year old) well financially.

We both have well paying full-time jobs so we are looking to bring our savings / investments to the next level into generating passive income, too! 

I'm the kind of person that when I set my mind to something I dive in full swing to do everything in my power to make it happen - knowing I don't have to have ALL the answers or know EXACTLY what's going to happen but feel confident in myself to educate myself, figure things out enough to mitigate risk but not get in my own way/talk myself out of it. Hopefully this will also serve me well in this realm! 

I'm looking forward to meeting you all! I'm mostly interested in investing in my home state - Minnesota, but am open to other Great Lakes regions states and communities so would especially love to connect with you if you're in these areas!
