@Jason Jones thank you!  I won't go, sounds like a waste of time.  I already know I want to be in this business, so sounds like it won't do much.

Have you ever played their game Cashflow?

@Jerred Morris thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.  I am in the "learning phase" right now, trying to learn a bit more about what I want to do before I jump into something.  Not to worry though, I have an action plan and timeline laid out for when I buy my first property.  It's only been a few weeks of looking into this so I have a ways to go, I feel like a sponge just soaking in everything I can find.

Has anyone been to one of Rich Dad's free seminars?  There's one coming up in my area and wondering if it's worth going to.  I just read the first book. I am sure they will attempt to sell more courses, but is there anything different you can get from the seminar that you can't in the books?

@Account Closed

I am also new (both to BP and real estate) and in the central FL area.  Also looking to start with renting multi-family and/or student housing near the universities.  Will also check out that link!

Hi Justin,

That's a good point, thanks for the idea!

We are planning to get a loan, but my fiance is a Norwegian citizen, and the loan details seem less of a headache than over here, but we will need to research this more.  He would likely take out a loan from a Norwegian bank.

Hi everyone,

My fiance and I are getting started in real estate investing, looking to start by buying and renting near universities.  We have always wanted to work for ourselves, and think this is a great way to eventually get there.

I currently work full time as a dietitian and health coach, so most of this is new to me.  We are looking to each become licensed realtors within the year so we can do our own deals and learn more.  We also hope to manage our own properties at first, again to learn and save money.

I look forward to learning more and meeting people with similar goals and interests!
