If you're responsible with money - you should 100% look into Travel Hacking with credit cards.

It's almost never worth getting "store" brand cards. At a minimum, get a transferable points card/business card so you can use the points for anything (cash back, gift cards, travel, etc). Look up Travel Miles 101 or ChooseFI, they talk about traveling for free by putting expenses on credit cards and then paying them off responsibly.

It's been made clear that this breed can be vicious - I have friends that have 2 of them, they were always nice so I actually assumed this was a "nice" breed of dog!

Whatever you do, change your lease so you can ask for immediate pet removal for any reason.

I'd probably just pay the money and move on.

Hi All -

Time for another meet up at 14th Star! (I even called this time to make sure there wasn't live music, haha).

Meeting up and having some introductions, maybe some updates for those whom have met before, and making some connections. I'm thinking about potentially creating and bringing a questionnaire of sorts and maybe having more specific conversation starters to allow people to have meaningful conversations and get to know eachother better.

Who to bring:

- Yourself, and your family/friends that are interested in learning about real estate investing

- Your realtor, broker, lender

- Your contractors/handymen

- Your ideas! projects your interested in, areas you're interested in, deals you've got going on, deals you missed (I'll buy a beer for whomever can tell me who bought 11 Lower Newton!)

- What you need help with - funding? finding deals? best ways to move forward?

- Book referrals - what are you reading? -- I'm currently reading the Miracle Morning!

Let people know what you'd like help with, and what you can help them with!

All levels of real estate experience (or lack thereof) welcome... realtors, investors, contractors, lenders, handymen/women, painters, inspectors, etc!

Please invite anyone on BP and not on BP that I'm not connected with that has any RE interest or skills!

Happy New Year! I guess an obvious choice for an topic for everyone to consider for the meetings is 2019 goals!

See you next month!

hi all-

Yes, was thinking about another meet up after the holidays. Does anyone have ideas on another place to meet or is 14th Star good?

It depends on your mortgage, low money down types (FHA) require 12 months of occupancy.

The penalty for mortgage fraud (not occupying for the entire 12 months as you signed on the contract) is potentially jail.

What does the Buy and Hold calculator say?

This is a wholesale calculation and it states you're buying and selling for the same price... or did I miss something? Are you planning to wholesale or buy and hold?
