Thanks everyone.

@Roy Oliphant

I am I'd say halfway between goals and strategy, mostly focused on education so I can set a strategy.  Goals I am clear on, how to get there exactly is less clear.

@Zack Lofton

I'm leaning toward rentals to start, but would like to move into flipping down the line.  But like I said to Roy, I'm in the middle of figuring it out exactly.  My wife is probably a little perturbed by how much time I am spending on these boards/blogs.  Austin is a good place.  May be looking in that area and San Antonio (where I am originally from) as options to invest.  If okay, I'll send a connection so I can keep connected to you.

Hi, my name is Mike Carle, and I am relatively new to the real estate business and Bigger Pockets.  I've decided that I want to exit from my corporate job in the next 5-7 years, and at that point have a real estate business up and running that will allow me do that for the rest of my professional life (and hopefully even into retirement).  This is my go at following my passion, and something I truly care about.  My finance job is a good skill, but it doesn't make my want to jump out of bed in the morning.

I've been devouring all of the information on the forums and the podcasts, among other sources trying to get my bearings straight.  Love this place and look forward to learning more.  If I can ever be of help to anyone, feel free to hit me up.

Thanks,

Mike
