If he is a former homeowner, then he probably does not have a rental history. Thus, checking his credit is very important b/c it will tell you if he was ever late with his house payments.

Wow, thanks guys! I will look into Texas Pro Tax.

One of our rentals needs new carpet. It is located in Georgetown, TX. Does anyone have recommendations on where we should get it? I was quoted $1.87/sq ft for the in-stock carpet that they tell me landlords like b/c it's cheap. Can anyone else beat that, with a fast turn-around time? We'd like to get it installed this week. Thank you!

Hello, all! We are considering hiring someone to protest our 2013 property taxes. We have protested our own taxes before in the past but would like to consider outsourcing it, as it takes a lot of time and effort, and someone who does it for a living will have more and better resources. Does anyone have recommendations in the Austin/Travis County/Williamson County area? Thank you!

Hello BP community! We have been lurking around for some time now, and we enjoy reading all the advice and posts. We have purchased our first two rental properties and would love to participate in this great community.
