We inherited a house which we are currenting renovating and plan to rent. Right now, the house is in my husband's personal name and we want to form an LLC and transfer from his name to the LLC. There is no mortgage on the house.

We also own a second home that we rent through VRBO and plan to transfer that to and LLC as well.

Would love to hear thoughts to make this seamless and cost effective. We are in Maryland.

Thanks!

Thank you all! I appreciate all the insight!
Michael - how do you do both, and what do you charge for the deposit?

Hi,

We currently have a vacation home in Deep Creek Lake, MD that we rent mostly through VRBO but also have listed on AirBnB.

Right now, we charge a fee for the CSA insurance through VRBO but thinking of changing to security deposit.

With that said, how much is suggested for security deposit for a 4 bed/4 bath home close to a ski resort? Or do we stay with CSA?

For AirBnB, I don't see how to add security deposit?

Any insight/advice is most helpful.

Thanks!
