Transfer from personal name to LLC

Margie Fortune
Posted

We inherited a house which we are currenting renovating and plan to rent. Right now, the house is in my husband's personal name and we want to form an LLC and transfer from his name to the LLC. There is no mortgage on the house.

We also own a second home that we rent through VRBO and plan to transfer that to and LLC as well.

Would love to hear thoughts to make this seamless and cost effective. We are in Maryland.

Thanks!

Something you can also do apart from an attorney, Is go through a title company. That is how I do all mine. They can charge the filing fee (which you always have to pay) but not much else.
