Thank you so much for the great information. I have another question. Would I need to get a business license to do this type of business? Not a real estate license but a business license stating that I do this out of my home for tax purposes at the end of the year?

I am a bit confused so Let me explain in depth on this deal I have going right now. I purchased this lien and paid it in full to what they were selling it for. One of my debt collector's are already been sending out notice's to the owner regarding this. Now got an email a couple of weeks ago saying I can start doing the pre-foreclosure process on this property.

Certificate Year: 2010

Lien Redemption Date: June 01, 2012

Lien Expiration: June 01,2017

There are back taxes that need to be paid later down the line they have high prices of judgments on the title. I am helping my mother in law doing all of this and she kinda rushed me into certain information that I needed to get done first before she purchased this lien. As I got the title search back from the Title company and to what everyone is telling me that this really doesnt look good for her.
