Hi Bigger Pockets Community,
I'm a San Diego almost-native that is starting my real estate investment journey. I read Rich Dad Poor Dad several years back and, like for so many others, there were lessons that stayed with me. Being a bit risk averse, I did want to build myself a bit of a financial cushion before jumping in and I recently achieved that goal.
I am new to Bigger Pockets and have very much enjoyed listening to the BP podcasts, watching videos from various sources, reading real estate related content, and I have also attended my first local REIA group meeting (San Diego Creative Investors Association, SDCIA). I do happen to have my real estate broker's license but work in an unrelated field.
My long term goal is buy-and-hold (particularly in out-of-state markets, looking within Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Pennsylvania) but I'm also open to other opportunities (flipping, or potentially partnering). I look forward to learning, networking, and, if you're in the San Diego area, even shaking hands at a future SDCIA meeting.
