Quote from @Katie Linder-Jesse:

It can be initially scarry getting into the rental market but the good news is when you are investing, it's all about the numbers, what you can afford, what ROI you feel comfortable with and when you feel ready to get started. Take your time, do your research and you will find that when the right property comes along, you'll be ready to invest. In regards to property management, there are plenty of property managers in NWA that can help you out. If you're looking for a real estate agent that has invested in this market and works with busy investors please reach out, I live in NWA, invest in NWA and provide real estate services in NWA.

Is there anything specific to NWA that I need to be watching for new multi family homes coming on the market? Thank you for the reply.

I have a decent amount of money saved up, but I have put off investing in a duplex or multi family home. I am afraid to take the plunge as I will not be in the state for 300+ days out of the year. I have a high interest in starting my portfolio with a duplex, but don’t know where to start as I can’t exactly scout the area or even property’s. Looking for any advice on being a landlord while being “remote”.
