That is the WORST thing to tell someone to do - NOT everyone should handle a chainsaw - if you have no idea on how to handle a chainsaw MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THESE 2 ITEMS - 1 - someone to call 911 for you #2 your will made out & a DNR order !!! Trees & chainsaws are not very forgiving !! You need to know how the tree will fall What happens if the saw binds or kicks back . Granted there are more safety's on a saw nowadays then when I started doing tree work 35 yrs ago . Play it SAFE & get a pro to do it ! Make sure he has insurance!!! Not all places require a landscaper or a tree surgeon to have a city or county license. Something goes wrong & he has no insurance or you to it yourself - it will be a very costly mistake . I was firefighter/EMT and seen firsthand on how poor mr home owner to save a $1000 tree bill lost his life or a body part . As a business owner the insurance costs for tree work where high due homeowner & uninsured so called tradesmen

I called the Jackass bluff when I told him oh you operate out of house ? If my memory serves me right that's Engine company 151 first due - will be happy to stop by and meet in person and get all paperwork done on my way through the city to see my parents out on Long Island . Funny he won't answer me back lol
