I'm a doctor as well in the Tampa area new to real estate investing. Just like you I'm exploring multifamily game in the area. Good luck in your journey and welcome to BP.

I've read Rich Dad Poor Dad, Psycho-Cybernetics (great book), Think and Grow Rich and I'm just now finishing up the Book on Real Estate Investing by Brandon Turner. I'll have to check the book out. Always interested in new reads especially if it's a local guy. Hoping to avoid analysis paralysis from reading and get to work haha.

Hey Biggerpockets peeps, I'm new to real estate investing in the Tampa area (living in South Tampa at the moment) and would love to connect with some local investors and any partners. I'm living the apartment life at the moment and looking to get out and make my first purchase within the next 10 months, preferably sooner. My girlfriend is interested in making the transition to real estate and has been brought on board with her engineering/project management experience. I believe I could be an asset helping out as much as possible to learn the process and any strategies employed. Willing to work for free to get some insight on making moves and networking. Growing up in my household we were constantly renovating my home (Dad was a carpenter/handyman) so I learned quite a bit along the way. 

My goals are long-term wealth and not so much the quick profit. I'm more interested in the house hacking and BRRR methods. What area are you liking right now? What's working for you? If you feel you could use a helping hand or just want to chat, leave a reply.
