Congrats! Also own a few properties in that area - excited to see your results.

Hi @Christina Hamilton,

Also an investor in the Fairfieldd / New Haven County area specializing in multifamily deals. Always looking for deals that fit my criteria. We should connect.

Need some advice from the Realtors of Fairfield County!

Currently a part time real estate investor with a few multi-family properties in the New Haven area. I live in Stamford and commute into the city every day for my full time job. I work in Advertising Sales and make a healthy 6 figure income.

I've been thinking about changing careers to focus on real estate full time. With my background in sales, becoming a realtor feels like a great fit - especially since it would allow me to further network for my real estate investment business.

Before I make the jump - I wanted advice from the realtors of Fairfield County:

What are the pros and cons?

Expected yearly income?

Things you love and things you hate?

Something that surprised you about the job?

Any and all feedback is welcome.

Thanks!

Anyone have suggestions on a good real estate buy and hold CPA in CT? I contacted Ted Lanzano, but he quoted $300 an hour, which is really high for our needs right now.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Hi All,

New Multifamily Investors in the New Haven area of Connecticut. My partners and I are looking for a reliable GC for rehabs and renovations of our new units when they become vacant. Have a project for them right away, and will have another unit that needs to be renovated in early May. There will be a steady stream of work for a GC that can delivery on time, and under budget.

Thanks Bigger Pockets!

Thanks for starting the thread! Started following and looking forward to hearing from the seasoned investors.

Currently looking for a great (fair prices, comes in on time and under budget when possible, good project manager) contractor for multi family rehab work in the New Haven area. If anyone wants to brain dump some names or contacts I'd really appreciate it!!

Hi All,

First off wanted to introduce myself to the group: buy and hold, or buy, light rehab and hold investor in the Fairfield County/New Haven County area. Currently own a 4 unit in New Britain, and closing on a 3 unit in New Haven (Dixwell area) by Yale. I work with 3 partners - we went to high school together in the Fairfield area.

Unfortunately none of us could make it last night, but we look forward to the next event on the 27th!

Currently looking to network with wholesalers, sellers, or lenders in the area. We have an aggressive plan to grow our multifamily portfolio over the next couple years.

Drop me a line to say hi: [email protected] - or shoot me a note on here.

Post: How to set up Real Estate Investment Business with 4 partners

I'm pooling my money with 3 friends, and setting up a real estate investment business. We're focusing on Buy, Rent and Hold. My question is: what's the best way to set up the 'business'? Do we buy properties individually and transfer them to an LLC? Our focus initially will be to accumulate as many properties as possible. Looking for advice from seasoned investors - how you structure with multiple investors.

If it helps, we'll mainly be operating in CT.

Thanks!
