I believe there is room for a big storage unit buisness in my town. Was thinking of buying 5 to 10 connex containers that were either 20 or 40 ft long and water tight. Costing 2500 dollars delivered and setup a piece. Would have to buy a small lot . And build a fence around the buildings , wouldnt need a cement slab because they are built to be on the ground. What do u think i could charge , and what other costs am i missing. And what other insights and knowledge do you all have. This would be my first hwadfirat dive into anything entrepreneurial.

@Jay Hinrichs did u say u can buy a singl famkly resident for 10-15k ? Thats really cheap is it.

Dennis m . Thank you for the quick and informative reply. I will be doing this tomorrow when i wake up. Say i find a house that isn't listed with anyone. Would u say it would be better to contact a realtor and tell them there is this house I'm looking to buy . Or  avoid having to pay realitor cost. Even tho I've never bought a house before.

Whilst riding my bike in the small town i live in i ride down these streets and see decent house after decent house, then 1 house from the corner is a comparible sized house that has an unkept yard , over grown trees , no for sale sign . And a decent looking roof. Are these the types of houses i should be looking for to buy ? I feel drawn to it . Like this is where i can make some money. How do i go about finding how much i should pay for the house. And the major things to look for that should be telling me to pass.

@Frank Patalano , i know nothing , and just starting out. Just finished the book Rich dad Poor dad. Im looking for my next step. I have a job that i work 4 days and off 4 days. I see auctions in my town for properties that have been forclosed on. Some are empty lots in the outskirts of town or town properties with a house on it. I only have about 3k saved , and the properties always get bought up by people with deeper pockets. Is there a way to be proactive and try to obtain something before the auction ? Any help is wanted. TIA
