@Dawn Brenengen and @Lionel Li, great!  Looking forward to meeting there.

My wife and I come in on Saturday evening.  We're going to do some site seeing before I head to the mixer.  I'm staying on-site at the hotel.  Maybe we can connect at registration beforehand.

Hi @Gio Gonzalez

That sounds great.  Are you attending the Sunday evening mixer as well?

Hello,

If you are attending the BP Conference in Nashville and looking to connect with people prior to arriving, please let me know here!  I am coming from WA and would be interested in setting up some connections beforehand.

Cheers,

Matt

@Mindy Jensen Is there a shuttle or transportation from the Gaylord Opryland to the off-site Sunday night happy hour/welcome event?

@Jerry M Cutrona Where did you see a BP Conference goal list?

Looking forward to meeting people and connecting!  Any Eastern WA or North Idaho folks going?

Post: Work trade for rent - Pros and Cons

Hello BP!

I have a SFH with a tenant moving out the end of this month. I have been getting bids to do a pretty good overhaul and remodel of the house in order to increase rents. One of the contractors I had give me a bid is an old high school friend. He suggested a potential trade for repairs for rent.

What are your thoughts on looking into this? What should I look out for? What should I include in a lease to ensure the work would be done timely and that when the work is done what the new rent is.

I’d love your thoughts and prior experience with anything like this.

Thanks in advance!

Matt

Great information, thank you everyone for the replies.  If he wants to stay another year, I'll renew the lease.  At this point, I'm not sure he is staying - he's given me notice that he will be leaving because he's buying a place.  That said, the last two years he has said he was buying a house and then ended up staying.
