@Account Closed, thanks for saying hi. The out of state investing took awhile for me to wrap my mind around. Now I feel comfortable with the system I have and doing due diligence. I noticed you are in PA, I almost went out Pinnacle to cover cases. If I ever make it out, I will reach out.

My name is Matt,

I am grateful to introduce myself to this community. I have been lurking for a couple of years, but I realized I need to participate and post my introduction.

About me:

I started my career in medical devices, specifically in the cardiac space. I really enjoy my line of work because I interact with patients and provide significant support to the medical team. I recently started a new role where I am scrubbing in for surgical valve replacement. My days are always different and present new challenges. If you ever have questions about medical devices or what I do, please ask!

I live in SoCal (the 805) and really enjoy being outdoors, playing sports, cooking, and reading. Before finding BP I decided to "house hack" a 3/1 by renting out two rooms. I learned a lot about real estate by doing this process, which was furthered by finding out about the BP forums. After scouring the forums and reading several RE books, I decided to out of state invest using the BRRRR method in Saint Louis. This process has allowed me to grow personally and financially. I find myself becoming more comfortable with each deal and staying focused on my specific criteria. In the beginning, I was constantly attracted to any deal that could work. I plan on posting the deal I am currently rehabbing once I get my appraisal.

In the next year I want to grow my portfolio (SFRs/duplex) in Missouri through the BRRRR method. I am very fortunate to have a great mentor and an agent. As I learn more about real estate and build equity I want to get involved in my own state's RE game. I have been learning from colleagues and friends who are doing commercial development, syndication, and more. Maybe I can even do "the stack" in STL and get a four family once I master the BRRRR method.

Goals:

additional BRRRR property by 8/15

30 doors by 31

I look forward to growing my real estate knowledge with you and open to all advice you can provide me. If I can provide any insight about medical devices or investing experience, please ask.

Cheers,

Matt
