@Shawn McCormick thanks for your insights! I just wanted to try doing the devil's advocate to see if someone thought something different. I guess its really hard to argue the obvious: lots of demand and a huge attraction to the market.

We are foreign nationals and looking the possibility of trying to do a brrrr with a loan. However I guess our financing possibilities are different to the ones US citizens have. Does someone know how it might work? Or you might know someone who knows someone? Thanks in advance.

We have an Llc and an house under the company if that helps.

Lots of investors are looking to STR as some of the last places where we can find cash flow. However, I am thinking it might get a bit crowded in a couple of years and in some places like Orlando, there might be no secondary exit to the market in case the principal attraction loses value or there are just too many options and there is an oversupply. I know, I know, right now its not the case as there is a huge demand and lots of people are travelling and stuff, but if you are asking for a loan for 30 years you might want to think about everything that might happen.

I want to know what you guys think about STR in general? I am liking the idea but I am really concerned if something big shifts. What are some STR that are not very crowded and there is little to no supply creation? Do you think that going to some attraction areas is the best place for STR? or something like a metro area where you have lots of option? Is it really easy to just have a property manager supervising everything? what are your thoughts?

@Silvio DoCarmo and @Jeffrey Gonzalez thanks for the insights! I am liking that part of personalizing the rooms to get a differentiation from the rest of the houses and maximizing the occupancy. Regarding the size, I have also heard the bigger the better, as the public is searching to go with other families and the kids. However do you have any comments on the maintainence of this bigger properties with lots of kids? or is that something that is not really a big concern to have into account? Also do you have experience or know someone that know the process of a vacation home loan? Thanks so much in advance!

@Ryan Moyer Thanks so much for the insight! and a shout out for your AirBnb! What you said about the returns in Orlando is what is having us thinking in that market. My wife is an architect so she could try to come up with something similar to what you did. How hard was the proccess of theming? I bet it was a bit hard but it looks like the returns are there, so definetly worth it.

Quote from @Zeona McIntyre:

Orlando works well but is also very park-specific. Although we may not have another pandemic in awhile, its good to note that the tourism there virtually shut down for months. Markets with a natural attraction, such as beach or national park proximity may be a safer bet. I recently bought in Panama City Beach and hear the best things about places along the gulf coast. Let me know if you would like to be connected to an excellent agent up there.

Thanks a lot Zeona, will take into account. I was thinking the same with Orlando. It would be great if you can pass me the contact, I am trying to gather the best info as possible.

Searching for a great STR in Florida. In between a drive to market, like the Keys but prices are pretty crazy or a Flight to market like Orlando. Seems like there is a supply problem (experienced it) but looks like lots of new projects are being done.
