Fellow Charlestonians,

It's time for Charleston, WV to stir up some networking. I have been in the real estate game for almost 3 years and can count on one hand the fellow investors I have met. Small and large investors alike, lets get together for a beverage!

 Wow! how time flies. Are any of my Charleston Real Estate Forum friends itching for a meetup? I'm looking to build another rehab team for my flipping company and I have a few deals I would like to wholesale. Is there anyone still out there that is interested in another trip to Pies and Pints?

Hey guys I went ahead and tagged everyone that has added input into this conversation over the last couple of months, is anyone up for a REI meetup next weekend? How would October 21st or 22nd work? We could do a midpoint between Huntington/Charleston, maybe Fireside in Hurricane?

 I’m in for the 21st! I think this would be an awesome way to kick off the weekend.

How about we try meeting via zoom once and see how it goes?

Did that meeting happen? I've got a rental in Charleston and want to expand into 2-4 units or larger, possibly leveraging the existing rental (it has no mortgage). It would be great to talk shop with others that focus on the Kanawha area.

tagging @Mason Weese @Deak Smith @John B. Waugaman Jr. as well.

 We have had one meetup thus far and it was really fruitful. I would be happy to set up another one if the interest is there. I have heard of investment groups holding these meetings in their flip properties. I would be happy to offer up one of mine for this use.

I just closed on a 14 unit apartment building in the Charleston, WV area. Anyone know of a property management company in the area?

Would anyone be interested in planning something for after the holidays? I think I speak for @Deak Smith and Adam when I say that the last dinner was a success! I would love to expand our group to agents, general contractors, and investors in all different types of RE. We can start to hash out the details now for an early 2022 meeting to share our goals and ambitions.

Let's see what happens with a Wednesday, January 5th date- just a starting point. Any response is appreciated!

Is there anyone in the multifamily space in the area? I've recently partnered up with someone that is really looking to get into something a little bigger.

@Laine Fury- Interesting! I have dabbled in semi-short term rentals but haven't gone full bore night by night AirBnb. I've been studying it a lot lately. I'm not sure at what point people staying in Charleston want Value over Experience. Have you learned exactly how much extra "oomph" to put into your houses or do you just provide the basics?

Our very first meetup at Pies and Pints in Charleston was a success. I really enjoyed getting to meet both Deak Smith and Adam Wood! The conversation was really enjoyable along with the pizza and beverages! It is always fun to hear how others have built there portfolios using different strategies. I think I speak for the three of us when I say, "I hope we can keep it growing!" I will continue to bring along the folks I have met and I hope that everyone does the same!

I am going to have to pas on this first meeting as I have been out sick for a week now and covered up with work. This is my first day back in the office and I have a rental to turn over in the evening by the 1st. Sorry fellows, I will aim for the next one.

Please keep the thread going and drumming up other like minded people.

Hope to meet you soon!

@Dylan Good and @Damon K Verellen,

Meeting at Pies and Pints in Charleston tomorrow at 6:30. Hope to see you both there!
