Corby Goade-
I was wondering the same thing about why they even posted a 3 day notice but didn't start the eviction process. She told me that she didn't think eviction was a good idea because they were already moving out and it would not be a good financial move. She told me she would no longer accept a partial payment in the future, but she said she did it this time because they were moving out- and that might be all we would get from them.
The property management company has done very little to make the tenant move out? What can they legally do- physically move the tenants out? She said she's driving by daily to look at the progress... it's ridiculous.
I live in an area affected by hurricane Ian, so contractors have tons of work- they are swimming in it. I was trying to secure them in advance so that I would have someone to do the job- since it's been hard to find workers.
I did have a frank conversation with them about the situation. Out of it, they said they would ask for social security numbers when the lease is being renewed if they don't already have that info and they told me they would always notify me if tenants are paying late and 3 days notice needs to be given- so I can determine if I want to start the eviction process.
Finding a decent property management company has been challenging. And I have a lot going on in my life so that I need assist to manage things.
I don't think there is anything in the contract keeping me from hiring a collections company directly- I am going to call them today.
I thought the only thing a property management company could really do is start the eviction process, I didn't think they can literally force a tenant out of the property?
Am i incorrect?
Thanks
