@Whitney Hutten thanks for your input, I’ll have to check out that book and go from there. I’m in the stage of trying to determine the best way to go about my first rental and just want to make sure I have as much information as possible to make the best informed decision.

@Allison Leung still kinda new to the site, the platform seems to be one what has many resources but having trouble how to best utilize it to gain those resources. Also the app for could be more user friendly in my opinion. Maybe being it’s just my phone for being an Apple user but at times it logs me out of the app automatically when I’m trying to scroll through, the functionality at times seems a bit weird in the app but overall I’m happy I’ve downloaded the app and started listening to the podcasts. Hopefully it leads to more networking and connecting with other to do more in real estate!

This platform is the first I've heard of the BRRRR method for rentals. I'm trying to determine the best method for getting my first rental property far as best approach. Would appreciate any feedback on this method far as pros and cons to it (or if other options are better suited for first rental property). Any insight that can be offered??

Any tips anyone can provide to how to go about finding a solid Contractor, property manager, financing etc when getting your first rental property? How do you determine how the best way to find contracting for a job without getting screwed by cost or completion of work? And would anyone suggest partnering with someone financing or doing everything solo? Once a property is located and ready to go is it best to find a property manager and pay that cost out or just try to maintain the task yourself while still working and doing everything else yourself? Trying to determine the best method when going about getting my rental property. Any advice helps! Thanks in advance!!

So while this resource is a great place for real estate and I’m enjoying this platform. I wonder what other interest does everyone share? I currently host my own podcast called the Limited Minds Podcast. We are on all platforms so if your into podcast check us out.

But what about suggestions? Any podcast I should listen too as well? I have a wide range of thin fat as interest. Any book recommendations? Wine recommendations? Travel destinations? I’ve been to numerous cities but not all, looking explore more of the Midwest and west coast area. I love Seattle having been there last year. Far as books, I’m currently reading rich dad poor dad and it’s a really solid book this far. I do enjoy wine and somewhat of a whiskey connoisseur as well. I’m slowing become a small foodie but baby steps lol

Real estate is a true interest for me but let’s face it we’re all human and even our mind wonders from business at times just to have some enjoyment. What are some things everyone enjoys along with real estate? Podcast? books? Travel destinations? Once everything is safe and open of course lol. Let me know, thanks in advance!

@Mindy Jensen

I enjoy a lot of things, I’m big into wine, I love traveling! I’m somewhat of a whiskey connoisseur as well. I collect different watches. I currently host a podcast.

@Nellie Bentz

Hi Nellie, if your looking to get information about escrow I can help with a simple way to break it down. I work in mortgage and specifically worked in escrow for years to help with giving break downs to help understand where your shortage comes from.

Simply put it’s the increases in taxes and insurance based on the upcoming payments. If you have a escrow account rolled into your mortgage the servicing company covers any difference of your payments that need to be made so your not late on those payments to avoid Liens and things. So if you have $1000 in your escrow but your payment comes out to $2000, your mortgage company will pay the $2000 and then that negative $1000 will be spread over your monthly payments.

There are ways to help with the increased payments of your mortgage with escrow overages and such. If you have anymore questions don’t hesitate to reach out!

Hope this helps some!

@Dj Hume

Thank you for this information. Very much appreciated! I look at a lot of videos and read up on things now. Guess I’m trying to figure out the best way to start applying all the information I gather to take the next steps.
