This is a pretty basic question, but I'm just starting out.

Is it okay to work with more than one real estate agent and lending company at the same time?

@Neo Perrin

My preliminary research is showing similar results, which is somewhat discouraging. The areas these multi's are in are not desirable either. Still, if I can find a good deal I think it makes sense as a good way to start. I'm even contemplating a live/work space as an option as well.

Thank you, guys!

Cash flow is probably what interests me most about this atm. For my first one, it'll probably be buy and hold, for a while anyway.

I'm glad you made this post. I'm also new to real estate investing and currently rent as well. I was also thinking my first purchase would be a multifamily unit to both live in and have it as cash flow, then invest in other properties from there. Only difference is I'm on the Miami / South Florida market. Real estate is very expensive here. Anyone have any experience with multifamily units in this market?

Hello all,

I'm Mar from Miami, FL. I'm new to this community and to real estate investing in general. I'm very excited about it and hope to make it a career. I've been reading lots of articles on here and have already learned a lot, and hope to learn more. I'm thinking my first move will be to get a duplex for both a place to live and cash flow.

I'd love to connect with others in Miami / South Florida area. Advise is always welcome.

Be well!
