I'll let you know if I learn of anything. Lots of "get rich quick in real estate" groups and then other for institutional investors. Need something in between.

Thanks for the thoughts. I know it sounds lazy but I'd rather avoid the heavy lifting of starting a mastermind group (I've done it once it is a LOT of work).

I'm an active commercial real estate investor who is interested in joining a networking or mastermind group. Unfortunately most of what I've been able to find online are groups that either focus of house flipping or are over the top full of hype.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a group that is comprised of smart serious commercial real estate investors. I don't particularly care where the group holds its meetings and cost is of a secondary concern if the group is comprised of the right types of individuals.

Appreciate your thoughts-Mark

Post: Funds that invest in single family homes

I'm a passive accredited investor. My understanding of investing in REITs is that the returns are taxed as regular income as opposed to capital gains. This leads me to focus more on funds. Most of the housing funds focus on multifamily (which is fine and I'm an investor in them) but I think the trend will be for apartment dwellers to move into single family homes as they grow their families. However, they will still have difficulty buying these homes and most likely remain renters. Thus, I'm looking for funds that focus on investing in single family homes. I know there are institutional funds (Blackstone probably being the largest) but haven't found any that would make sense for the high net worth individual investor.

I'm interested in investing in a fund that focuses on single family homes. I'm not interested in direct ownership, but think this is a RE sector that will do well in the next 5-10 years. I've also heard that Trust Deed Investing is a way to invest in this sector, but admittedly know little about this. Thoughts, perspective and advice are appreciated. Thanks-Mark

Post: Any recommended conferences?

I'm an accredited investor focused on commercial real estate. I invest primarily in funds, office buildings and multi-family. I'm interested if anyone has suggestions for conferences I might be interested in attending, based on my investment focus. There seem to be lots of events for residential flippers and large institutional investors, but I've had difficulty finding conferences for those of us who don't fall into those groups. Suggestions much appreciated-Thanks.

Jeff-

Thanks for your thoughtful reply-much appreciated.

Any suggestions of finding lenders that run mortgage pools, or debt and equity based syndications?

Thanks-Mark
