I was so excited to attend the BPcon24 in Cancun this year. Unfortunately i have a family emergency so i am not unable to attend. Is there anyone who is in need of another room and ticket for the 3 night stay?

@Alan C. that is good to know about brinks. I will probably end up using SimpliSafe because I am more familiar with their product. Their system uses a built in cellular connection. 

@John C. thanks for this information! You are correct. I spoke with someone at SimpliSafe and it uses their cellular data. The camera is the only device that needs an internet connection to function. 

Fellow BP members,

I am about to close on the purchase of my first fix and flip in the Baltimore area. I am wanting to install a security system with cameras and entry sensors during the rehab process in order to deter break-ins and squatters. I had wanted to use SimpliSafe but I believe you need to connect to a wireless network, correct? Given that the property will not have internet access, what does everyone recommend in order to have a security system installed? Thanks in advance!

@Kenneth Garrett thanks for the advice on pulling a permit. The last thing I want is to have the project stalled. I think if there are minor changes it might be worth not pulling one. But with a total gut it probably makes sense to get the permit. And with my contractors license I can pull my own permits.
