Hello fellow investors.  I just wanted to say hello, and that I am interested in attending one of your upcoming events.  Unfortunately, I'm working this Wednesday but look forward to catching the next one.  Hope to meet many of you soon to network and share ideas.

Hello Gentleman Great advice. I too am a BP user and invested. Tommy McCoy - another reia that is close by is traction reía. They meet in Tyson's. I'm on tap to visit them myself as their next discussion will go into tax prep and strategies. Brandon L. - I read you blog, and commented about how much I enjoyed it. I really liked the learn before you earn point you made. I am currently house hacking on my second property and actively looking for people to network with in my area. Although I am still looking for B&H deals I spend more time learning and listening to gain experience. I live in sterling and would enjoy taking you up on the same offer to contact as Tommy. Hope that's ok. You gentlemen have a great night.

Welcome @Alex McDeavitt. You are in a great place.  I too recently was referred to BP by my investment counselor and I have missed a day soaking up information.  Much like you I had aspiration of getting some help paying for my mortgage and shortly began house hacking.  I live in DC but am from Pittsburgh, and born in Uniontown.  I am in no way a pro at this but always looking forward to connect with others.  Feel free to connect with me as I'd like to network with some investors in the Pittsburgh area.  Until then good luck.

Wow @Chris Mylan your story was great to read. As I read your success story I was stunned how much we are alike. I too live in the DMV, specifically- Sterling VA, and work in DC. I currently have two properties in Loudoun county - buy and hold, close to Dulles airport. Likewise, I'm from the Burgh. Born in Uniontown and raised between there and Duquesne. I was just sharing with my fiance that after we complete out third purchase in the DC area (prayerfully by the 2 quarter 2017) I would like to check out the burgh for multifamily or try my luck at the BRRRR strategy. I agree, this area is very pricey. I still consider myself new to investing as I've taken more interest in RE just this year. My plan is to purchase minimum of one property every 1 to 2 years but always considering other opportunities within reason. I hope to connect with people to share ideas, potentially partner, or simply network with like minded investors. I'll be in town this Thanksgiving with family but to check out some properties to get a better feel for the Pittsburgh market. If there's an opportunity you or others in the Pittsburgh area to connect, feel free to PM me. Hope connect with you and congrats again on your success.

WOW what a great story @Michael Puwal.  I'm a newbie also and interested in your reply on some of the other questions a few others asked.  I'll keep an eye out for your reply as I'm interested in learning more about the process.  I'm only on my second house, currently looking for financing for a  third.  Looking forward to sharing stories like yours.  Thanks for sharing.

Thank Chris and Heng.  Much appreciated suggestion Chris.

Hello Everyone,

I've been a listener to the BP podcasts for a few months now. At the beginning of this year my investment counselor mentioned it to me as I discussed interest in buying homes starting this year. BP has been an anchor in education, and experience, I otherwise wouldn't have. I felt more comfortable after doing my homework on the area of this new purchase, crunching the numbers, and identifying what I wanted. This was nothing like my first home purchase several years prior. I'm currently house hacking, renting out the other two rooms of three. However, after being introduces to strategies when considering a good deal, I concluded that this deal will produce positive cash flow if I weren't in it. The deal was about 1900 (mortgage, taxes, HOA, and insurance). I have two renters who pay 800 each and this area is in the 20147 zip code in VA. I have BP to thank for the process I used in selecting this property and now I cant wait to move out even though I just moved in.  If anyone would like to share their thoughts on anything they would do differently in this deal or provide constructive feedback, feel free.  I am new to this but very interested in chatting or meeting people of like mind.  I value building relationships as I learn more and experience more opportunities.

Regards

Mario
