@Al Pat. Thanks for asking for other alternatives! I received my notice of $9.99 fee this week. I'll try some of the alternatives to determine if they work; if they don't, I'll find a beginner realtor. I don't plan to pay for something that was free!

Who is paying the closing costs? If seller is, he can determine what attorney, but if you are paying them, you have the privilege to specify ... Situation could be that they do significant business with X attorney, so they get a price break.

@Danny J. Be very careful buying in Macon because values are spiraling downward at a fairly rapid rate!

@Marvin Hernandez I recommend Roger Herring, Investors Accounting, who specializes/works with only real estate investors! His office is located at 1755 North Brown Road, Suite 200 in Lawrenceville, GA. I tried to give you his phone number and email address, but BP would not allow it ... Google "Investors Accounting in Lawrenceville" to obtain this information! Roger is also an investor and very active in our local REIA.
