Hey @Kevin Phu, first and foremost thank you for your service sir! and thank you for replying. I actually have about 6 months left until I ETS out of the army in December. And my pay-grade is currently E-4. I should be able to receive BAH once I get married in July, and also should be able to receive some from the Post 9-11 GI bill when I get out.

I've seen some other posters in similar forums suggest the same. I will definitely look into that. Thank you for you're insight Kevin!

Hello, I am currently serving active duty military and have been reading up on REI and became really interested. I plan to start saving and actually give it a try, that is after I actually understand and feel fully competent. I want to know if there are any difficulties or concerns I should be aware of since I am currently serving. Should I wait until I'm done? And then start from there? Or could I start once I feel confident in my knowledge and savings? ( I am aware that it is fully up to me but I'd just like some insight from others in my position or has been). Thank you for all comments!
