Thanks everyone for the help..... I am currently working a full and part time job to build up my cash flow to purchase my first property, I will eventually utilize my VA loan to acquire my second property as well, and so on.

I recently seperated from the military 2 weeks ago and didnt find out about the VA loan until recently.

Whole story short:

I can't use my VA loan until I show 2 years of proof of income, and I can't apply for a conventional loan for the same reasons.

I want to get started in buy and holds and need help figuring this out, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rah! haha yeah we most definitely will get together for those beers!

I'm actually want to utilize my VA loan to purchase a duplex or triplex, so that I can house hack. I enjoy that idea.

Thats great to hear, I want to learn more about it from you guys, if I can use my VA loan and get out of it before the year is up that would be perfect since one of my goals is to have 2 rental properties by the end of June 2019!

Hey @Tyler Hodgson

Thanks for your comment.

I am currently in the Marine Corps, next friday I'll be getting out and heading back to Texas the following week.

I've considered doing the VA loan. I haven't looked into it yet, do you know how long you would have to live in the residence until you can convert it into a full rental?

And thanks for the offer, I'll definitely take you guys up on that offer

Hi Everyone,

My name is Jermaine, and I'm a new investor who will be moving to the DFW area next week once my military contract has ended. I am currently looking to establish connections with people, and learn as much as I can about the DFW area and people.

 My goals:

- To own 2 small multifamily properties, preferably duplex or triplex by June 2019.

- In order for me to reach my financial goal of $50k so that I'll be able to purchase those particular properties, I will be starting in rehabbing projects to obtain the funds required. I'll be honest, I don't have the funds I need to get started in either field, so I'll be utilizing creative financing, through a partnership I'm currently working on establishing. If that doesn't pan out I'll look toward other willing to do a partnership 50/50. I really want to use this as a way to learn as much as I can within the field.

I've already established a criteria and market, etc.

@Jill F. Thanks for that, it will help me create a short, to the point mission statement.

@Neil Sinha Thank you, I'll look up Simon Sinek's work, and thanks for the feedback.

@Brad Chandler Thanks Brad, I'll be sure to use everybody's knowledge here to create a more in-depth mission statement involving my "why".

@Ernesto Hernandez Thanks, I'll continue to revise it. I'm pretty sure I have a more focused approach to this. I see what I needed to include and change.

@Brad

@Brad Chandler I've figured out that my mission statement should revolve around my 'why' and that I'd have to revise it to make it more detailed in a way that shows what my goals are as a business and what we plan to achieve.
