@Dave

@Dave Spooner Thank you for the reply. When you say local and regional banks what do you mean? I currently bank with Chase, would I go to them as ask about getting an FHA loan to buy a home?

Hi everyone,

Ive been listening to bigger-pockets since I was 16 and want to become an investor (on the side, as I am in school getting prerequisites for medical school). I am currently renting from another college student who is doing the same thing I plan on doing. I am working full time at the hospital and thinking about picking up weekend shifts to make more in order to pay off some debt and build a fund for the downpayment/ fix up money or emergency fund. Im not worried about the work load (working MWF, Sat and Sun, school T,TH). I am looking for information on loans and taking out a mortgage. In my area, I could rent out each room for 900 so 1800 from the renters and I could cover the rest if it was higher than that.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering where i can put my money, roughly 8k while i get work experience (currently 18, wanting to buy my first property at 20 and in the meantime learn and grow). I was thinking of putting it in an index fund but that would be more for a 5-10 year timeline. another option would be individual stocks but there is a lot of risk involved in that.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thank you.

@Brian Pawl

For 2019 my main goal is to save my first 15 thousand to put towards a multi family house. Along the way I want to be able to learn as much as I can.

@Garrick Oconnell How would you go about finding a team to hang my license with?

Thank you for the insight Ty. When you say partnering up with someone, what do you mean. Like buying the house under their name, or like a co-sign.

Hello, I'm 18 years old going to community college and working part time. I plan on buying my first property before I turn twenty and was wondering on your thoughts on how I should be saving or investing my money. At the moment i have 6k saved in cash that I have with 1k in a student account at chase and 5k in cash. I work construction on the weekends and make 300 a week. I am wanting to invest into a index fund while i build up some cash to but a down payment of 20% on a triplex or fourplex to house hack in the metro-phoenix area.

So at the moment I have 6k while making 1200 a month in cash as well. Since I am paid under the table I was wondering if anyone could tell me how i would be able to get a loan without any credit?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and help me on my way to learn more

@Christina J. Thank you. I am currently listening and caught up with both the podcast that bigger pocket has to offer and the information that it comes with.
