@Calvin Lipscomb Thank you. We have been looking and will not reach over our heads for a house that we cannot afford. Do you mind elaborating on the other options that have not been discussed?

Thank you Calvin, I appreciate your input!

@Amy Beth thank you. You brought up points that I had not previously thought of and you're also right. You're also the first person to bring that point up in this forum. Amy, thank you for helping me make a more educated decision.

@Travis Rasmussen thank you. Being hard workers is something my parents made sure my siblings and I did in every aspect. Do you think those loan officers would have check my credit score every time? Also based on your advise, I'd say that you found a way to make it work. Thank you for getting into real estate at the time you did, because maybe you could have never seen this forum haha!

Once again, thank you

@Account Closed thank you! I will keep finding ways to minimize my expenses. Would you mind on elaborating what kind of things I could deploy my saving on?

Once again, thank you for your time

Mr. @John Errico, thank you for helping get a better understanding of Real Estate. There is no way we can make the right decision for us if it wasn't for the information that you and the BP community has given me. John, you also brought up great points that we have not thought of previously we are thankful for that.

In regards of what work I am looking to do, I am open to possibilities in the financial, HR, legal, and marketing industry. I have experience in those areas and believe that I can benefit whoever welcomes me to their team.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to advise my family and I!

@Jerryll Noorden thank you, it was very hard but I think the sooner I can help my family and others, the better. @Caleb Heimsoth Unfortunately, getting a job has not been easy. I have applied to positions here in the NJ, NYC area and so far nothing. I also speak three languages so hopefully someone will see my potential and allow me to join their team. Anyways, thank you for your advise! I will strive to do what you suggest!

@Odie Ayaga, I want to put my family in a house, be financially independent and hopefully get a job soon (currently looking). In regards of your second question, I want to understand Real Estate to a better level. I don't know how to even go about buying a house without contacting a realtor, etc. So I want to understand this industry better so I can minimize costs and increase investments opportunities.

Thanks for replying to my post Odie, I appreciate it!

@John Errico, it would be for us to live in. Thank you for your perspective. What would you suggest in regards to the following idea: buying a 2 family home at my father's name (has a job and income), rent the upper or lower floor to another family and then ask to refinance? Also I don't really know if this matters but I worked as an RA during college and got a W-2 from my university. The stipend was $3000 and didn't have to pay for living. We would like to stay in the JC-Bayonne area because it is most convenient for us!

Thank you once again. You are very knowledgable John, I hope to be as experience as you one day.
