As I understand it a subject to is when you take the place of the original owner in a property. Money is made when you buy a house not when you sell it so how is this beneficial? Are you paying less for the equity they have in their house? Does this only work when the owner is threatened with foreclosure?

Has anyone read buy it rent it profit by Bryan Chavis? It was the first thing I read and it got me into thinking about real estate. Just curious if anyone has any thoughts on it?

@Angelo Pozzuto I have some family that works in Stamford and they were looking for a cheap apartment/rental space. It's a growing area and prices keep going up! Good on you for getting in the market

I'm currently living in CT where I'm planning on investing. I searched BP for local investors in my state, there seem to be very few investors aside from the Stamford area. I was wondering if there is a reason not many investors are interested in inland Connecticut away from NYC. Is it solely the high taxes or are their other issues?
