@Jonathan R McLaughlin Yes the realtor said that he was buying a house but it was actually a lot next door. The surveyor that drew up the lines did it inaccurately and the line ran in the middle of the house. My friend got another surveyor showed him the squatters bought lot next door, and my friend owns the house. When my friend called Remax and confronted them they closed that office down completely.

@Peter Walther yes I believe so except this mishap. Its in the state of Pennsylvania.

@Erik W. Well he didnt get an attorney because they wanted $20,000. He bought the house for $750.00 at a auction so no title company involved. He approached the squatters still said it's their house than bought 2 big dogs to keep him off their property. Or his property I should say. He did tell me Remax was the agency when he approached them with their mistake, they closed their agency down completely he said.

@Theresa Harris Yes I totally agree. Thank you.

@Jonathan R McLaughlin I know he has deed with his name on it . He didnt go to title company it was though a auction when he purchased home.

@Jonathan R McLaughlin he went to auction and bought the home for $750 . It's worth $140.000 to 160.000.

@Theresa Harris or they are in default? Not sure right now.

@Theresa Harris yes hes working on a attorney. The surveyor in 1952 did the map wrong first off, than the realetor sent her the wrong map for ownership. He told her she was buying a house but she is owning a lot next door. He had a new surveyor which shows he owns the house. He does have a court date in November. He has another snag. He skiptrace them and they are over $120,000 owing on this house which means it could be in default which makes this situation worst.

@Theresa Harris Thank you for your input. Yes hes working g on a attorney. He did get a surveyor who checked out everything and showed him where is property is and where their lot is. He had prove that the house is theirs. My question is if those people in there are paying a mortgage for 3 years now, wouldn't the mortgage be low since they only bought a lot? I would skiptrace them and see what they are paying? When everything is done I would collect my back rent, sue the realetor and agency, and get news channel to report everything.

@Theresa Harris okay so he just told me. 3 years ago they though they bought a house but they only bought a lot next door. 1.5 years ago my friend went to repository sale bought this house and has deed. Now he checked out the map lines and their lot ran in center of his house, he got a surveyor to check everything out and found out he owns the house and has proof. Hes going to court in November. He talk to people in his house about he just bought the house but they said they bought it and not leaving. Please help. He has no attorney because all 7 wanted 20,000 upfront he said.
