- When he drives a new car off the lot, it INCREASES the value. Absolutely hilarious. Great thread guys!

I definitely think you should inform the landlord. I would want to be informed/forewarned of tenant behavior like that. While that's the only incident where you experienced this person being rude it only goes to show that the minute this person doesn't get their way they become awful so it's good to know that in case something goes wrong for this landlord before the tenant decides to move out.

While most of my calls come from signs, I think that it's still important to have a presence on those sites. I have noticed a high number of people calling from there, but the ones that do I usually can generate a lot of revenue off of. Maybe it's because the people who are using online methods are doing more research because they are willing to spend a hefty penny... if they can spend it in the right place.

I know how you feel. We had college kids rent out a property in our neighborhood, which also happens to be a cul-de-sac. A formerly quite one... very irritating.

Good advice Al,

I have mounted a keybox for the master key. It didn't take long for me to change the code, and I have already needed to use it a number of times. Countless headaches saved!

My city is one of those cities that requires solid ducting. The aluminum tape gets the job done and is approved by regulation. It doesn't melt or lose it's stickiness. It is a bit more expensive, but is worth it in the long run.

Very helpful J Scott,

I too am interested in pricing to remodel a full bathroom. I have found a lot of time where you purchase your materials like a Building Materials Outlet, will have contracts with their personal installers. They will usually cut you a deal if you use their subcontractors. Or Vis-versa, the contractor will give you a deal for buying the product from their preferred supplier. Thanks for all the helpful posts!

If you can find a decent affordable painter, it is well worth the money. If you consider how valuable your time is and the cost of supplies to actually get it done like a professional, a couple hundred dollars is well worth your hassle.

I agree with Brian. The more cash flow you have from larger units, the more resources there are that become available for you. It is pertinent to have quality on-site employees. It will make your life a whole lot simpler once you don't have to concern yourself with small responsibilities that can make a big impact.

I had to deal with an uncooperative neighbor, unfortunately the solution wasn't as easy as moving a hoop. He had planted a tree that had grown out of control and ended up growing into the fence. The fence that I put up and it has now somehow become his property being that I cannot simply cut down his tree.

I agree with Karen M. who said it just sounds like a lack of communications problem. But as I can attest, asking a difficult neighbor just once will not do the trick. I suggest you go to the neighbor after an initial conversation (if it doesn't go well) with several ideas to suggest. Like move the hoop further up on the drive or on a garage. Let him know the damage that would be caused to your car. Him being a car owner too, it shouldn't be difficult for him to see what the effects of "a bouncing ball" can do.

I realize you aren't concerned about innocent kids bouncing a ball. Because if it wasn't a couple of feet from your car, you probably wouldn't care at all. Make the issue about the possible damage to your car, not about children trying to play a game of basketball. You want your neighbor to know of possible consequences, not how much you hate kids playing outside.
