Well from what I understand lenders have to get the maximum for their properties to help with their losses and the only or best way is to listed them with an Agent. In fact here in my neck of the woods I've seen some lenders spending  good money to make them nice.  But hey you never know - I'm sure someone out there has cracked this code!

I know this conversation is about 3 years old or so but was wondering if you could share what happened next with the ins. co and lender?

@Shawn Kross unclear about your question but prior to foreclosure seller could reinstate the mortgage payments or file for Bk as already suggested to avoid 4closure. After the fact either someone bought the property at the courthouse steps or the bank took if back. If the lender took back it will be just a matter of time for them to hire an agent and put the house on the market for sale.
