I should also say that I leaned heavily on my broker who is great and I have known for a long time. So, there was a lot of trust. His choices worked out.

I always heard around 40x number that was mentioned above. I essentially got those numbers when factoring in the Section 8 vouchers. Good luck.

Check the fees of the wealth management services. I would think there is a general percentage they take and then, maybe, trade commissions. I don't know what is considered commercially reasonable or market but you might want to take a look at places like  Fidelity, MS, etc. to see what they charge. Also, check the broker on the Finra website.

I guess the safe move is not use the full LOC and/or put sell orders in place in case your holdings decrease to a level when a margin call would occur.
