Thanks for the input, @Jeremiah Ashe, @Joel O'Leary, @Justin K., @Cody Evans, @Ben Bradmon Jr. I'm thinking that Cashflow would make a great Christmas gift!

I'm reading Why the Rich Are Getting Richer by Robert Kiyosaki and he mentions a board game he created over 20 years ago called Cashflow. I'm wondering if anyone here has played it and if it is recommended. The price on Amazon is rather steep, $80, and I'm wondering if it is worth it. I also see on the Rich Dad site that he has a free online version; haven't had a chance to check that out yet.

I just listened to this podcast and wow; @Arianne L. 's  story is amazing. I love her attitude and using your "why" for inspiration and focus.

I have a son living in San Francisco and he would love to get into real estate investing but, as you mention, @Lumi Ispas, the prices are unbelievably high. I am in Denver and putting in the sweat equity to see if we can put together something here. My son has explored areas outside of the Bay area but with his full time job, it isn't practical for him to live an hour away. Glad you didn't spend 10 grand on a program, @Krisy Kim! I have only been a BP member for about 2 weeks and I have learned so much already!

Good idea, @Tookie Nemchak. Maybe the pro exclusive forum should be removed as an option on the app to avoid confusion @Michael S..

All I can say is better to figure it all out before marriage! Good luck @Quinton Slay.

@Quinton Slay

There is no right or wrong here. Your girlfriend is studying social work and you are a real estate investor. These are two very different fields of endeavor. It is a great thing to have your own interests in a relationship and not force each other to be involved in individual pursuits. Bottom line - she is probably not interested in reading Rich Dad Poor Dad but I bet a book on social injustice would appeal to her. You are interested in the bricks and mortar and she has an affinity for the cultural mores and background of the people you rent to.

I'm speechless, @Jamie N.. Where do these people come from?

I was wondering the same thing, @Kristen Ray! I did a search yesterday on that very topic and it is a subject that has come up in the past but the answer was unclear.
