@Arnie Abramson. Once you purchase a tax deed at auction in Texas and wait for the redemption period to expire what else do you have to do regarding ownership of the property?

I used New Western and it was a very smooth deal.  I got the property for 30K less than market value.  I am a buy and holder so I can't help with any information on flipping.  Kate Cabada was my agent and she really excelled in the communication department.  She has contacts for private money lenders if you need those as well.  Good Luck!

Is there a way to search for members of BP that are CPA's?

Location is not an issue but knowledge of the STR industry is. I would prefer a CPA that is also a real estate investor. Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Your profile looks very well versed.  I am also interested in finding a CPA in Texas that specializes in real estate, cost segregation, solo 4o1k, tax strategies and  i.e. Agusta loophole.   I would appreciate any recommendations.

I tried to call a title company but they said it is taking 2 weeks and online auction starts tomorrow.  How would I go about doing my own search?

Thank you for your quick response Ethan.  That is a relief.  How can I find out if there are any other liens on the property or would they all be listed at the tax assessors office?

I have registered for my first online auction and found a property that has a vendors lien.  If a lender has a warranty deed vendors lien listed on the tax assessors site and it is being auctioned as a bank owned property, would the winning bidder be responsible for the outstanding vendor lien?  How can I find out how much the vendors lien is?  I would also be grateful for any information that I could learn more about online auctions.

Thanks for your help.

Lisa

I am 54 y.o. and my company was just acquired by another company. I am uncertain if they will do a reduction in forces in the near future.  I understand that if I separate from employment during the year I turn 55 which is 2020, I may be able to access 401k funds penalty free but still would pay taxes.

My question is, if I roll over my 401k from previous employer to new employer and new employer terminates me would the rollover funds from previous employer to new employer plan also be eligible for the 55 Rule or only funds that were contributed into the new plan after the acquisition.

I would love to be able to invest some of 401k funds into real estate investments.  I am familiar with 401k loans as well.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Michael Baum We use the same lock system but have been having trouble with Wink lately. It is difficult to find anywhere to purchase.  I am wondering if they are going out of business.  Have you had any issues lately?
